My name is Omar, I am 45 years old and I come from Damascus in Syria. I came to the UK six years ago and now I live in the Bank Top area of Blackburn with my wife Samara and our three children, Fatima, Maryam and Yousef.
I speak Arabic and I am learning English at Blackburn College. In Syria, I was a tailor and my wife was a primary school teacher.
My two daughters go to St. Wilfrid’s High School and my son goes to St. Barnabas and St. Paul’s Primary School. Both schools are close to my house.
I love football and at the weekend me and my family go to Ewood Park to watch Blackburn Rovers play football. After the football, we to go to McDonald’s for dinner then walk home.
